The Edge Connection 2008 Gala
Will Celebrate 10 Years of Accomplishment
at the Newly Renovated Marriott Marquis

Kennesaw, GA (July 17, 2008) – The Edge Connection Gala Committee has selected the newly renovated Marriott Marquis for the landmark event this coming November – “Celebrating 10 Years of Accomplishment” in micro-entrepreneur and small business training.
Atlanta’s largest hotel, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, located in the heart of Peachtree Center is just completing a $138 million renovation. The renovation includes a 25,000 square-foot Atrium Ballroom opening July 2008, with floor to ceiling windows and 30-foot ceilings, accommodating 2,000 comfortably for a one-of-a-kind experience. Throughout this landmark venue, guests will experience the idyllic flavor of modern chic masterfully combined with timeless comfort, beginning with the breathtaking atrium, designed by world-renowned and Atlanta based architect, John Portman.

”We wanted a special venue for our 10 year celebration” remarked Rosemary Jones, Chairperson of the 2008 Gala Committee. She added, “The renovation of the Marriot Marquis is exquisite and seems appropriate since The Edge Connection will be launching their own renovation next year with the opening of their new Enterprise Center – a commercial kitchen complex and business incubator”. The Enterprise Center will signal a new era as The Edge Connection starts another decade in helping entrepreneurs launch, sustain, and grow new businesses in the Atlanta area.
The planning and fundraising for the November Gala is still ongoing. To date, the 2008 Gala is being sponsored by Cbeyond, Turner Broadcasting, Georgia Power, Exhibits South, Governor's Mentor Protégé Program, and Lockheed Martin.

The Edge Connection offers an award-winning and nationally recognized program that delivers best-practices, microenterprise and small business training, financial literacy, entrepreneurially focused technology training, and essential entrepreneurial support services to aid microentrepreneurs to launch, sustain, or grow a business.
