Kennesaw, GA – October 30, 2008 – The Edge Connection client, Nanette Duffey, was awarded the “Microentrepreneur of the Year” Award by GMEN, Georgia Micro Enterprise Network, at their annual awards pre-conference ceremony held October 9, 2008. Nanette Duffey is an organizing and training professional who started Organized Instincts, LLC, ( (
(www.organizedinstincts.com) in 2005. Organized Instincts (OI) creates unique, customized systems and spaces that allow clients to enjoy the most important parts of their lives. When asked about the award Nanette stated “As a solopreneur, I am excited and honored to receive the award. Taking time to reflect, this is an important plateau and I’m excited about what the next growth/accomplishment will be in the future.”

Participation in The Edge Connection’s 6-week Advanced Program and the subsequent performance of her business highlighted Nanette Duffey as a candidate for the award. She graduated from their 36-hour Market for Success Course as well as participating in numerous coaching programs and workshops. Through Nanette’s leadership, Organized Instincts demonstrated economic growth in sales in first half of 2008 of 158% and it has created two new job positions. In addition, Nanette has provided community support through donated services and other work to assist local non-profits.

Janine Anthony, Vice President of Business Services and Director of the SBA Women’s Business Center at The Edge stated “I am delighted that Nanette Duffey won the GMEN Microentrepreneur of the Year Award because she is a very passionate and determined entrepreneur.
